Delivering Sustainable Homes

Fairfield Homes is committed to delivering sustainable developments, maximising the use of land and natural resources and minimising our impact on the environment while working to create attractive, well designed homes.

Many developments are built on previously used brownfield sites and wherever we build, we take our responsibility for protecting wildlife, watercourses, neighbouring land and property very seriously. Developments are sympathetic to local architectural heritage, reflective of the vernacular of any surrounding properties and promote a strong sense of community spirit.

The drive towards zero carbon homes focuses on excellent thermal insulation and clever use of renewable technologies including solar PV, solar thermal and waste heat recovery.

We have excelled in many areas and here are some of the initiatives we have employed which sit alongside business as usual practices:

  • Fairfield Homes is committed to protecting wildlife. Examples include the creation of wildlife corridors, safe rehoming of great crested newts and bird and bat boxes to protect local, indigenous species

  • The timber we use in construction of our homes is sourced from sustainable sources

  • Fairfield Homes continues to research and monitor the evolving renewable technology industry, seeking to implement customer friendly, low maintenance and cost effective solutions that will not only aid our drive for an energy efficient house, but decrease our home buyer’s heating bills

  • Fairfield Homes always conforms to sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS)

  • Our specification creates a home which has a degree of future proofing for our customers and measures favourably against our competitors

  • Our housetype designs are continually analysed and upgraded to ensure ongoing compliance with ever changing regulations and continued target market appeal
